Masks for Kids (Taal Volcano Disaster Relief)
Tax deductible
The Taal Volcano in Luzon, the Philippines has been spewing Ash and other toxic particulates into the air since Jan 12, 2020.
Children are struggling and suffering, breathing in this toxic air with a national shortage of face mask respirators. Children are now beginning to turn up at medical centers and hospitals with breathing problems and for those with ashthma or pre-existing breathing problems, life is critical.
when watching news stories you will see many people have lost everything and have no money for masks and medical equipment, even if they were available.
Think that you can't make a difference, think again.
I led a mission to the Philippines in 2012 after Typhoon Yolanda devastated the island of Tacloban. I assembled a rescue team and we fed 7500 children and their families. Almost everyone I met said “thank you”, they are the most grateful people on earth.
Today I have identified a stockpile of Pediatric respirator masks in a neighboring country that can be on the ground in days. I have a rescue team standing by and they are prepared to take delivery and get these masks into the right hands within hours of delivery.
Dr. Baz, MD has said that the long term effects on the lungs of these children is unknown but that other tissue damage is possible if the sulfur dioxide and silica is inhaled over a long period of time.
Tonight, as the people of the Philippines brace themselves for more possible eruptions, please help us to help these children breathe.
Anything you can give will help, $2 will provide a mask, $10 provides a family with masks and clean water for a day.
We have partnered with a church and your donation will attract a tax receipt for your deduction.
Sometimes we think we are “nobodies” and we doubt we can make a difference, but today, you can be a “somebody” because you made the difference in the life of a child.
A wall of donors will appear and we are so very grateful to you.
Thank you
