Masks for Hunterdon Heroes
Donation protected
We are all aware of the terrible impact of Coronavirus, but sometimes it is hard to know how you can help. Hunterdon Medical Center and our local EMS and First Responders risk their health and their lives every day to protect and treat us, but they are desperately short on supplies they need to protect themselves. They are critically short on masks and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and often have to go without proper protection or reuse materials that are meant for one-time use. The hospitals and rescue squads are unable to purchase these masks because of shortages in the supply chain.
We have been able to identify sources to obtain KN95 and other masks, which are FDA approved for medical professionals. These masks make a critical difference in keeping our first responders, nurses and doctors from contracting the virus, which means they are there to continue to selflessly treat patients. Our sources have already provided thousands of masks to Morristown Memorial Hospital, funded by generous donations from citizens of nearby towns.
Our Gofundme is raising money to purchase much needed N95/KN95 masks, as well as other PPE, for the hospital workers and EMS units in Readington and Flemington in an effort to protect the front line doctors, nurses and medics, and hopefully limit the spread of this terrible virus. Every penny you donate will be used to buy masks and other PPE for the heroes on the frontline of the Coronavirus battle in our community.
Hunterdon Medical Center already has already treated over 100 Coronavirus patients, and are expecting an influx from other overloaded hospitals. Our EMTs are volunteers who come face to face with Coronavirus patients and possible coronavirus patients every day.
