How it began

We are raising money for the Masjid Expansion Project of our current mosque Masjid Quwwatul Islam, as the antique shop next door has now been acquired. We are raising funds to help towards the purchase and renovation of this building to expand & extend the masjid area to serve the many people who pray here everyday.

Inshallah we shall be holding a fundraising event on Sunday 28th April 2024 (confirmed). We shall hopefully have a few stalls there which will include food etc and will also be a good moment for everyone to meet family & friends together with lots of fun to be had for the children.

This is a fantastic opportunity and moment for our mosque & community as our beloved late elders who had sacrificed so much of their time to help put our mosque up within our community and are the same people who founded this mosque through quite a lot struggles on the way but alhumdulillah due to their sacrifices & dedication we are where we are & would like to hope & pray we as the future generation can keep this tradition ongoing inshallah.

Just to make our intentions clear, myself and friends are not in it to take credit. We are in it for the people who have sadly departed from this world but not forgotten.

All the money raised/donated will be sent for the Masjid under all marhooms names and their families - may Allah SWT accept our efforts and intentions Ameen
