Masjid Al-Shuhadaa, Downtown Denver Islamic Center is located at Downtown Denver area at 2952 N Downing St, Denver, CO 80205.Masjid Al-Shuhadaa needs your financial support to finish the remodeling that is desperately needed for the Masjid.
Why We need your Help?
To orient you with what we are doing and where the money given by you is going to be put in, We are fixing the following in the Masjid:
1- we are fixing the entrance floor by changing tiles
2- Wudu’ area drain as it creates odour and bathrooms floors and drain system.
3- We are changing a ten year old carpets that is not convenient and hygienic anymore for prayers and replacing it with new one.
4- In terms of the Masjid prayer area, we are painting the walls that does not look appropriate anymore for a house of Allah.
5- Moreover, we are expanding the main area by removing a small room in the middle of the area to the far end of the masjid to open bigger space for our congregations prayers.
Such comprehensive construction to our masjid will assist us to operate the masjid to continue in its activity.
What does the Masjid do?
Given its strategic location, the masjid serves Muslims and non-Muslims from all walks of life. Our scopes of activities are variables and practical. We can put them under three scopes here.
1- First, we offer the basic services to our Muslim brothers and sisters by providing a suitable, quiet and clean place for them to have a fruitful time with Allah through five daily prayers. The Masjid opens its doors from Fajr all the way till one hour after Ishaa’ prayers, night prayers. We try as much as we can to open the place for Muslim commuters, workers, travellers in Downtown Denver. In addition, we offer spiritual, religious, financial support to those who are in need along with marriage counselling and new Muslims support.
2- Second, we welcome all people of faith and no-faith to our house of worship to have a positive experience about Islam which in itself a Dawah work. We receive students from elementary levels till university levels. We receive delegations from churches and universities and others institutions. We offer a monthly open house to any one interested in knowing about or meeting Muslims.
3- Third, we serve our community as an educational center by offering classes in Arabic, Qur’an memorization, Islamic Studies and weekly classes given to those who have interest in learning about Islam, Arabic, Qur’an, etc.
