It's that time again folks. Time to crowdfund the monies for the print editions of the second book in the Mascara series! I again promise a copy to anyone donating $15 or more and your name in the forward.
If you weren't around for the first campaign, here are a few takeaway notes:
Mascara: Book 1 got featured on CCTV global business news in a segment with Macmillan Books in its FIRST week of release.
A blog, MascaraBook.com, was launched to coincide with the book. (You can read all updates on here).
To support the blog, 500 real branded mascara tubes were made and distributed.
The blog saw traffic from 30+ countries in under three months.
The first GoFundMe campaign raised over $2400 in two weeks to bankroll the first edition print books, in which all contributors were thanked in the forward.
An esteemed editor was hired to ensure accuracy.
Patch News, Broadway World and the Hudson Reporter followed suit with additional press, all won through organic releases and blasts sent out by the author herself.
The book was featured in Girl’s Life magazine this summer (June/July).
The author pro bono-d out copies to many A-list celebrities and top bloggers.
The Instagram created for the book now has approximately 1,000 followers in one month’s time.
There are “bookstagrammer” bloggers around the world reviewing the book on IG every week from the Philippines to London to Puerto Rico.
Mascara: Book 1 is now available in 10 libraries from PA to AZ.
The premise of the book is in early development for network television with the first 9 episodes and full treatment written.
Let's hit 'em again with Book 2 which is even better than the first. I know that's daring to say for a sequel but it is.
Thank you all for your support.
