Marzewski Camp Fire Fund
Donation protected
A year ago, Wizzard (Bob) and I bought a cute little place in Northern California, up in the hills, with beauty and trees and deer everywhere. Since then, we've been spending most of our spare time there - moving in our possessions, fixing things up, and enjoying the peace and quiet.

Unfortunately, that little house we bought was in Paradise, California, one of the towns ravaged by the Camp Fire this week. Our house was one of thousands completely destroyed by the fire. To top it all off, Wizzard is retiring next week and I'm retiring shortly thereafter.
We were so happy to have found a house and an area we really loved and were counting the days till we were going to be there full-time. But, then the fire broke out and our worst nightmare was realized and the house we loved and the community we loved are no more. We have decided that we will stick to our original plan and retire and use the time to rebuild the house and help to rebuild Paradise to the wonderful community it once was.
A lot of our friends have asked how they can help us, and several suggested we start a GoFundMe campaign. So, if you would like to help us with a monetary donation, that would be AWESOME and we will be forever grateful! I can promise you the money will go to good use.
Thank you for helping us rebuild our lives! Gwen and Wizzard (Bob) Marzewski
PS - I talked to our insurance company this morning. Since the house was not listed as our primary residence (we were changing it to begin next week), they won't be covering much of our personal property. So it is on us to replace almost everything. We need your support even more now than when I started this campaign last night.
(Disclaimer: The photo of the burned out house is from our neighbors Neal and Gen's home. We will update it with a picture of our home when we are allowed into the area.)
Post, post script:
We have yet to see a ground level photo of our house, but Neal sent me a overhead view of out property and that of our neighbors the Hallmarks yesterday (24 Nov 18). It is fairly low contrast, so I bumped up the contrast and color to show what It probably looks like to the eye:

The Hallmarks home is the left side rectangular shape in the top half of the image. Ours is the one below. Our houses shared the same initial floor plan. most of our attached garage is under the tree cover.
I later got better images of our property including what had been cropped out the first time. I've attached a much (over?) enhanced image and one that shows key and locations:
