Mary's Path to Wellness
Donation protected
Cancer has returned to our dear friend, Mary Williams. Mary is 58 and has worked for many years as a teacher's aide with children who have special needs. She was known for her kindness and patience in this demanding position.
Three years ago, Mary was care-giving for her husband, Ron, who was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer. During this trying time, Mary learned that she, too, had cancer. She was diagnosed with, and was treated for, ovarian cancer and has already experienced many of the difficult side-effects chemotherapy can produce. Now in her second fight with cancer, Western medicine has offered Mary more of the same chemotherapy, with an aim to extend her life by only 18 months to two years.
Looking for a better outcome, Mary has learned of a highly-regarded medical clinic outside Canada that offers low-dose chemotherapy along with immunotherapies in a three- to six-week protocol. With this treatment, Mary stands a good chance of making a full recovery, all with fewer side effects. However, the treatment does not come cheap, and it is not covered by our health care system. Another Albertan family recently returned from the same clinic with results that have amazed their daughter's local doctors (the blog sadiesfight.com documents their journey).
Mary worked hard to make improvements in her health after her first bout with cancer. After doing extensive research, she changed her diet, began a rigorous exercise program, and started taking appropriate vitamins and dietary supplements. Mary generously shared her information and experience to help others.
Now we want you to help us get Mary to the clinic, so she can start the treatment that will give her a better quality of life, while she works hard to beat this disease a second time. Mary is a kind, generous, loving, and selfless mother of two boys. She is the heart of her family and a loyal friend. No one deserves this help more.
Thank you for whatever amount you are willing to give to help Mary on her path to wellness. We also thank you for all your positive support, thoughts and prayers.
