Hi everyone,

I’m creating this fundraiser for my dear “sister” Mary who will be graduating from Tulane in May! She needs your help, as she is SO CLOSE to the finish line!

Mary’s Mission for Support & Stability:

“ Hi, This is a little hard for me to write, but I’m asking for help because I’m so close to something I’ve worked years for.

I’m currently a senior at Tulane University, and I’m in my final stretch toward graduating. Getting here hasn’t been easy— I’ve balanced school while working physically demanding jobs and driving Uber just to keep up with rent, bills, and tuition.

There have been weeks where I’ve gone straight from class to working on my feet, to driving late into the night - just trying to make enough to stay afloat. I’ve done everything I can to support myself, but right now I’ve hit a gap I can’t close alone.

I need about $7,000 to cover the remaining costs of finishing school and staying stable long enough to graduate.

This includes:

My remaining tuition and school fees

Basic living expenses while I finish my final semester

Essential car maintenance so I can keep working (things like replacing a tire or upkeep needed to continue driving Uber and earning income)

Right now, my car isn’t just a convenience—it’s how I survive and how I keep pushing forward.

I’m not asking because I haven’t tried—I’m asking because I have. I’ve worked hard to get this far, and I refuse to give up this close to the finish line.

Graduating means more than a degree to me. It means:

Stability after years of scraping by

The ability to move forward into work that actually reflects what I’ve studied and care about

Continuing projects in anthropology, environmental work, and community storytelling that I truly believe in
