My name is Mary. I am a widow in my sixties who has survived domestic violence and is escaping the cycle. Unfortunately Social Security, which pays me partial disability, has contested whether I was overpaid in 2024 and I have not received my payments and cannot yet appeal. Also, I was in a rear-end car accident so in addition to my regular care, I have appointments with specialists. I am waiting to receive the title for my car to get my insurance payment for my older car so I have no transportation and no money to live on, but can only get a limited amount without affecting my benefits that I need because I am medically fragile and have TIAs and a high risk of stroke. Over a year of escaping the cycle has exhausted what little I had. I will pay your kindness forward however.
