Hi Family and Friends,

Our beautiful daughter Mary has reached the end of what orthodontia can fix. On July 31st, 2024, she will have major jaw surgery. She is basically having facial reconstruction surgery. Her lower jaw will be brought forward and her chin lifted as well as her upper jaw be expanded and recessed. The first step in the process is another round of braces which she will have for 6 months pre-op and another 6 months to a year post-op.

She will be in surgery for 5 to 6 hours. Her recovery will be painful and long. She will have followup appointments for at least a year. She is fully aware of all aspects and is ALL IN for the procedure. When it's all done, she will be able to close her mouth naturally, which she cannot currently do. Mouth breathing, instead of nasal breathing, has too many negative health side effects to even cover here. Needless to say, Mary has most side effects associated with mouth breathing and all of them negatively affect her health. Long term, mouth breathing over the course of your life, can reduce your lifespan by up to ten years.

We are reaching out because not only does Mary need your love and prayers for surgery and recovery, we need help to pay for it. Insurance will only cover about a tenth of the cost and we have to pay the doctor's fee in full, 30 days before the surgery. This fee does not cover any of the hospital bills. Honestly, we don't know how we are going to cover the cost yet, so that is why we are reaching out. We have four months to raise the doctor's fee, so we are asking for help. Every dollar of donation will go directly to the doctor's fee.
