Hello!

My name is Mary, and I’m a trans woman based in London. After many years of waiting, I’m finally scheduled to have gender reassignment surgery on October 8th. I couldn't be more excited and grateful to finally be taking this step in my transition.

After surgery, I’ll need to take around 10 weeks off work to recover. As an actor, my work is freelance and unpredictable at the best of times, and this year has been especially tough. Like many in the arts, I’ve been navigating long periods without work and have been relying on Universal Credit just to cover my rent.

Because of this, I’ve not been able to save for the recovery period, and I’m now asking for a bit of help to get through it.

I’m fundraising to cover rent and basic living costs during my recovery, so I can focus fully on healing without the added stress of financial uncertainty.

Anything you can give, big or small, would mean the world to me and truly help me rest and recover safely.
