At 20weeks gestation we found out our little girl had something "wrong" with her heart. Fear, anger and sadness were immediate feelings my husband and I had. We were sent to specialists , cardiogologists, and geneticists; they finally settled on the term AVSD with unrelated chromosome defects. Mary-Grace was born on a cold December day . The NICU team was there to wisk her away but graciously let us hold her for a few moments. She spent 9 days in the NICU with a goal of her O2 being 70%or better. On day 10 we took our little bug home without oxygen!! Throughout the years she has had heart cath. Yearly cardiologist visits but had also been a growing beautiful girl. 
The cardiologist encouraged us to go ahead and schedule her repair. At the end of May she will have open heart surgery. Kids are quick healing and resilient. 
The insurance covers some expenses but not all. Jessica will be taking off a month of work to focus on Mary-Grace and Tj will be taking time as well and savings will go quickly towards the medical bills. 
Consider giving a little to help our family not be stressed during this time and be able to focus on Mary-Grace health and the betterment of our family as a whole.
