Honoring Rev. Mary Ann Iqilan Warden

Donation protected
Our beloved Mary Ann Warden unexpectedly passed away Saturday, May 30th at 6:35pm at Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage from complications from a hip surgery. We are devastated by this loss - she was a mother, auntie, sister and aana to many and she was always generous with her love. To all who knew Mary Ann, she was a deeply loving, lighthearted woman who always made you feel heard and cared for.  She lived a life in service to our Creator as a minister and was held dear by all who knew her.

To honor her life and the unwavering, unconditional love she gave us all, we ask for your help to make her final journey and funeral happen in a good way. Any funds you are able to share will help us bring her home to Kaktovik, where she was raised and where her Ancestors lie. Any additional funds will cover remaining funeral expenses (food, flowers, program guide, etc.) and the cost of flights for loved ones so she can have the memorial service she deserves. Funds will go directly to immediate relatives coordinating her funeral services.

We know we are collectively living through an unprecedented and scary time with the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. We understand if traveling to Kaktovik isn't an option, and we appreciate anything you are able to donate. Please take care of yourselves and stay safe.
