Maryann Glasco

We are raising funds for a wonderful teacher we've had the pleasure of working with at the Sonshine Center, Maryann Glasco.

Maryann has been a Preschool teacher at Sonshine for almost 18 years. She has dedicated her life to growing & shaping young minds and hearts academically as well as spiritually. She has not let one child go through her class without knowing that Jesus loves them. The world needs more teachers like Maryann and we are all blessed just to know her.

In May Maryann and her husband, Greg experienced one of the greatest tradegies a person can experience, the loss of their son, Kenneth. While dealing with the heartbreak and uncertainty that kind of tragic loss brings, she started experiencing severe pain and was admitted into the hospital. The doctors found a mass on her spine and removed it. After testing they were still unable to identify the infection that caused the mass. When she woke up after surgery, Maryann had no feeling from the waist down. She has been in the hospital since the day after she lost her son and due to her condition, she was unable to attend the funeral service. She can not be released from the hospital until she has an apartment that is on the ground floor and a caregiver to assist her at home. Her husband, Greg is a wonderful support but he needs to work and is unable to be home with Maryann full time. Since May 23rd, Maryann has lost more than we can even process, including her career she has poured her heart into for so many years.

Between the sudden loss of income, moving, full time care needs, and hospital bills, it is overwhelming. We are organizing this GoFundMe to offer Maryann all the financial assistance we can and try to bless her in the same way she has blessed countless families. Any amount is helpful and would be appreciated.

Maryann has expressed profound appreciation for all the prayers and support that everyone has shown her. Her eyes are still on Jesus and He is the one who will get her through this. Please continue to pray for her and her family as they navigate through these difficult situations.
