Urgent Appeal: Rescue My Family from the genocide in Gaza
My name is Amro Maher Ellily, and I'm reaching out with a desperate plea. For 27 years, I've called Gaza home—a place of beauty and resilience despite enduring countless Israeli aggressions. However, I now find myself torn apart from my family, scattered amidst the chaos of war .
I am currently in the southern Gaza Strip, with my wife Nermin, my daughter Maryam, my mother, and my little brother, after the Israeli occupation force forced us to flee my house after it was bombed and demolished. The story is not over yet, as I lost my sister, my uncle, and much of my family before I reached a tent in Deir al-Balah.
Before the war, I worked for a large company in Gaza, and I had a beautiful house and an even more beautiful family, and now I live in a tent without water, electricity, or the basic necessities of life.
I'm determined to bring my family to safety, but the cost is exorbitant—$5,000 per person just to navigate the treacherous Egyptian border. With your support, I aim to fund their evacuation, covering visa expenses, passports, and temporary accommodations.
In addition to that, I lost my right to education. I was studying civil engineering at the Islamic University and was about to finish my studies and graduate, but the Israeli army had a different opinion. It destroyed the university and turned it into a pile of ashes. I hope to find a good opportunity to complete the university level outside Gaza.
Your generosity could be the lifeline my family and I so desperately need. Together, we can ensure their escape from the horrors of Gaza and secure my future as a professional engineer. Please, join me in this mission of mercy and get my family out through the Rafah crossing. Also, when the required amount is completed, I will attach all the procedures that I take (passports, visas, etc.) here on this site.
Every contribution brings us one step closer to safety and stability. Thank you for your kindness and compassion in our darkest hour.
