Dear MLK Family,
As you are aware, the MLK Family suffered a heart-breaking loss today, Tuesday, February 23. We were devastated to share the news of the death of Mary Dawson due to a tragic car accident this morning on I-65. Mrs. Dawson joined the MLK faculty in 2014 and taught AP Spanish, Spanish 3 and Spanish 4 to our high school students.
We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support and requests to help Mrs. Dawson’s husband and 5 children. The best way for the MLK community to help the family at this time is to make contributions towards the funeral and other expenses.
Thank you so much for keeping Mrs. Dawson’s family and our MLK teachers and staff in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

2/24/16 UPDATE: A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 27, 5:00pm at the Woodlawn Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Woodlawn Funeral Home. Internment will be scheduled for a later date.
