I have known Mary Peppers for almost 5 years now. She is a considerate companion of my dad and has a selfless/giving, carasmatic personality. When her father became ill with heart complications a few years ago, she spent days and months at the hospital, after working all day. She was her father's guiding light in an extremely dark time. During this time she also took on the responsibility of two foster children, due to the poor choices made by their parents. She WAS doing all of this while still working full time at one job and part time at two other jobs. Mary's life came to a screeching halt on April 21st of 2018. She was rushed to the emergency room with severe abdominal pain, fever, and sweats. Mary spent the next 36 hours being evaluated by the ER doctors as well as receiving IV fluids.

When finally admitted into the hospital, she underwent a battery of tests, including multilpe CT scans. The doctors, nurses, and surgeons collaborated over the results of the tests and  determined that she had severe diverteculitis and that part, if not all of her reproductive system needed removed.

As a result, she requires immediate surgery. This Wednesday, June 27 she will undergo this life altering colon resection as well as removal of some of her reproductive organs. With a serious procedure like this the surgeons have prepared her for the fact that a return to work is 8-10 weeks down the road. She has 3 children at home to feed and shelter as well as ever growing medical expenses, rent, electric, water, etc.  
Donations will go directly to Mary to help pay for all of these expenses until she can be back to work full time in September. Our ultimate goal is to raise $11,000 by September 2018 although, any amount of donation is so deeply appreciated. Mary has always given everything of herself and never expected anything in return.
