Hello all! My Sister, Brothers, and I are fundraising on behalf of our mother Mary Martinez that battled with metastatic pancreatic cancer that progressed too fast! We were all not prepared to lose her! She was diagnosed in June 2023 and passed last night 13 August 2023. The purpose of this campaign is to ease the financial burden on our family as we all grapple with laying her to rest. Although our hearts are heavy with grief we know our mother is in a better place with God and at peace. A little bit about our mother for those who did not know her is she was a woman of faith and a SUPER WOMAN type of mother.  Her heart was made of solid gold, her smile was made of sunshine, her eyes were as bright as shining stars, and her laugh was so infectious! Anyone that knew our mother knows she was one of the most resilient, giving, loving, kind people in this world and she would give you the shirt off her back if you were in need. We were taught that even in times of sorrow to look to the future and never stop fighting! I remember through this battle she was fighting with cancer she would still be asking about others and making sure we were all okay and that is just a tiny testament to what a selfless woman she was! She was the glue in our family, the light in the darkness, and a beacon of hope for all that needed it. The world will never be the same without her here but she will live on in the hearts of her children, family, friends, and everyone’s lives she touched for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved SO MUCH!
