Hello all!

My name is Maya Janae Chaffin and I am a graduating senior majoring in television and film at Howard University. This semester, I have the opportunity to direct a short film I've written titled Mary & Martha for my senior thesis project.

This modern adaptation of the Biblical story features a driven, overworked woman preparing her home for a highly renowned guest. Little does she know, her plans will be interrupted by the unexpected arrival of her spontaneous yet Spirit-led, younger sister - forcing her to explore what truly matters in her relationship with God.

As an older sister myself and someone who struggles to be content in stillness, this story means a lot to me. My prayer is that others will see this film and know that they don't need to earn their faith through works - God loves them just the way they are.
