Mary Lou's road to recovery

Hi, I'm Jamie and I am fundraising to support a dear friend and prior coworker, Mary Lou, and her husband Will. After several years in remission, Mary Lou's breast cancer is back and she found out it has spread to other areas. In addition to extensive medical bills, this means Mary Lou needs to take time off work to undergo treatment and multiple surgeries. Unfortunately, FMLA covers only a small portion of her salary and so taking the time to care for herself means setting her family back financially.

Mary Lou has endured a lot, including the sudden loss of her son Justin just a few years ago. Yet despite all of this, her positive outlook on life is infectious. For anyone that knows her, including the many students whose lives she has touched during her time at Elms College, she is the type of person that would give the shirt off her back to help someone. This is a time when we can help her.
