On May 6, 2016 I was diagnosed with pancreatic  cancer also affecting a lymphnode and spleen.   I immediately started chemotherapy because of the seriousness of the cancer.  I was unable to keep working.  During 2016 to current I have incurred medical bills (hospital, doctors, and treatment) in almost the amount of $10,000.00.   Several CT scans and pet scans were performed.  After the diagnosed, several months later, my cancer had spread to my liver.  In January 2017, my oncologist  was hoping the surgeon could remove my tumors.  Unfortunately, it was discovered the cancer had spread to lymphnodes behind the stomach.   I recently was referred to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.  My first appointment was last week May 9th and on May 12th, a biopsy was performed.  MD Anderson will start treatment and will schedule future appointments,  I will have to travel from El Paso, Texas to Houston, Texas and return on a regular basis.  I am unable to travel on ground since I am taking blood thinner for blod clots.  The travel distance is 12 hours therefore, my only alternative is to fly.  Upon arrival, I will need local transportation and hotel accommodations.  My husband is also going through medical problems.  He also had cancer but fortunately has been in remission.  He needs knee replacements but doctors do not want to operate because his platelets are very low.  Therefore, he depends on a cane and/or walker.  He also has to visit doctors on a regular basis.  I will do eveything possible to help me overcome this challenge in my life.  The amount I am requesting is to help cover medical expenses and current expenses that I will incur throughout the new process.  I would like to thank you for your time and attention to this matter.  Your assistance is greatly appreciated.  Hope to hear from you soon.
