With the deepest regret and sadness we share the sudden passing of our mother. Anything contributed would be greatly appreciated to fund her funeral.

Mary Jo Hoffman, 63, of Downingtown, PA passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early morning hours of March 2, 2024. Mary Jo’s life began on June 25, 1960 as the sixth child to Marie and Edward Fagan in Brockton, Massachusetts. Edward was vastly outnumbered in his household by girls and had one son: Maureen, Ann Marie, Edward, Jeanie and my mother Mary Jo. Her and her siblings were extremely close, especially during her early years through middle adulthood.

Mary Jo left an impact on everyone she met and was impossible to forget. She absolutely loved people and stopped to talk to anyone she crossed paths with. She was truly one of a kind and hard to forget for an abundance of reasons.

Mary Jo graduated from Henderson High School in 1978. She went on to study and graduated from Temple University with a business and marketing degree in 1982.
In 1980 she met the love of her life and future husband, Joseph Hoffman by coincidence of him being in involved with fixing her sister Cathy’s car. They wed on June 19, 1982. They went on to have three children Meghan,39, Sean, 37 and Amanda, 34. She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. Mary Jo worked for many years as an office manager for a law firm in West Chester while simultaneously going to night school at West Chester University for her certificate in accounting.
MaryJo adored her dogs through out the years and to her final days. She was an avid reader, gardener, and beach lover, especially Cape May. She was a loving and deeply involved nana to her grandchild Alexandria, they had a very special bond. She loved her other grandchild equally and with all her heart; Mila and Caleb. Mary Jo is a testimony to change. Her fierce and persistent attitude shown brightly her last years of life. She truly lived in peace, took comfort in many relationships she worked tirelessly to restore and treasured them as gold. Mary Jo’s ability to overcome and change her life living it to the fullest her final years will be the greatest example of tenacity one was lucky enough to witness. She will be forever loved longingly missed and is such a deep loss for her loved ones. Rest in peace Mom, you earned and deserve every moment
