My name is Mary Wingate and I was born in Portland, Oregon and moved to Georgia when I was 5.  I have always been very independent and love school. I especially like helping other's succeed. I have many dreams and goals. I have been nominated to attend the Jr. Leadership Conference in Washington DC designed  for inspirational and creataive young adults. I am in 6th grade, first year of Middle School. My teachers from 5th grade nominated me because I am a strong leader,  but without being bossy. I really enjoy helping other's succeed. I don't really ike to ask for help, yet I am about too!! My trip will cost me around 3000 dollars and I am using this medium to ask for your help.  Mostly my family and friends.  This opportunity will give me the chance to interact and get to know  other's from around the world and to expand my knowledge of other cultures.
