On March 20th Mary Clark had an accident and experienced a traumatic brain injury.  She had brain surgery, went to a hospital for some time and now she is at a nursing home that is not giving her adequate care. This was the only choice we had because of the timing (COVID-19). We have no communication with doctors, and she is being left not being cared for at all, if you can imagine what that looks like. We need to move her to a place with better care. We finally found one that will take her but the down payment is $11,000. She needs this care and rehab or we will lose her because she is withering away getting minimal interaction after a traumatic brain injury. Insurance is no longer paying for her care, we have tried to petition, reevaluate her case, and Aetna is denying to pay. I have tried all avenues and she doesn't qualify for Medicaid. I'm getting guardianship in order to access her 401k to pay for her care. Unfortunately, the courts are backed up and we really need help so she can go to a better place. This is very urgent. My mom would be so mad if she knew I was asking anyone for money on her behalf, everyone that knows her knows she is the most generous human on the planet.
