Mary Cheshire Care

As many of you know, my beautiful mother passed away at Saint Joseph's Hospital on Wednesday, August 24th. I am now swallowing my pride again, and asking for donations to her funeral. Right now, it is scheduled for Thursday, September 1st. I am trying to raise an additional $10,000.00 by Wednesday, August 31st. 

Unfortunately, all previous donations have been exhausted, as I was finally able to have my mother transferred to a much better nursing home, NurseCare of Buckhead, on Tuesday, August 16th. Unfortunately, two days later, I got a call from the doctor at NurseCare, and she recommended hospitalization. I of course agreed, then my mother passed away six (6) days later. 

As said in the past, any amount of donation will be greatly appreciated. 100% of it will go towards my mother's burial. She will be buried next to her Aunt Georgia, in my mother's hometown, Toccoa, GA. My mother was born in Asheville, NC, but her adopted parents lived in Toccoa. So, that is where my mother grew up. My mother, and her twin sister, Emily, lost their birth mother during their birth in 1936. Their father was panel truck delivery driver, so he could not afford to care for my mother and her twin sister. So, they were orphaned, and spent their first year, or so, in foster care. Her abopted parents adopted my mother, and her twin sister, sometime in 1938. They had a wonderful life in Toccoa, and as my mother would often say, "Toccoa was the town where I always felt safe". So, for that, and numerous other reasons, Toccoa is the place where she will be at peace, and safe, for eternity.
