Hello and thank you

   My name is Abdul-Hakeem, I work as a painter for local construction company.

In the backyard of a residential job site i came across a female pit-bull in a storage shed. She was eagerer to come out of the there when I attempted to give her water. Immediately I noticed that she was​ in bad shape.
Scars on her face, ribs showing and a wounded hind leg.

I monitor her for the rest the day and determined she needed help.

Also i noted that she not aggressive but just a little scared.
My wife was able to get a neighbor to help with the situation.

We didn't want the dog to go to a shelter and  in up euthanized.

The leg was broken, it put her at risk.

Me and the neighbor took her too clinic for a check up.

She was given pain medicine, antibiotics and referred to a specialist. The specialist explained that an X Ray is needed. So me and the neighbor discuss things because the situation was getting expensive.
We just wanted to help her get well and maybe have a  better chance at being adopted. The X-ray was done; hit by a car, she had multiple fractures at the tibia bone.

Surgery could be done but there was concern​ with a fracture near the ankle. There was a high risk that screws couldn't hold long enough for that area to heal.

Which would disrupt other areas and   cause more surgery.

Apologies in advance but amputation was decided. I wish that wasn't the case.

Mary (as we decide to call her :) goes into surgery May 03, 2018 in the afternoon at the Animal Medical Center  2340 South Sepulveda, L.A. California 90064.

We had a first meeting to a Vet where $160 was paid for B12 vitamins, Pain killer, Antibiotics visit was free charge because of rescue
