My name is Troy, and I am close to the Behr family. It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of Mary Behr, beloved wife of Klaus Behr, together for 40 years as of today, August 3rd, and loving mother to Katrina Behr, Matt Behr, and the late Alex Behr, who tragically passed away in November 2024.

The Behr family has endured a year of unimaginable loss. In addition to losing their son Alex, they also said goodbye to Klaus’s father, Emil. And now, they face the heartbreak of losing Mary, a devoted wife, mother, and friend to many.

Mary fought a long and courageous battle with illness. She defied the odds time and again, surviving beyond what doctors believed possible. Her strength and determination were rooted in her deep love for her family. She was a true warrior. Sadly, her body could no longer carry on, and she passed peacefully.

This GoFundMe is to help ease the financial burden on the Behr family during this difficult time. Funeral and memorial costs add up quickly, and after such a painful year, we want to ensure they have the space to grieve without added stress.

Covering funeral and memorial service expenses

Supporting the Behr family as they navigate this heartbreaking time

Placing grave plaques for Mary and Alex, so loved ones can visit and remember them
