It is with saddened hearts that my sister Samara Doughty and I announce the passing of our Mother "Mary Ann"! Although she suffered from Dementia & COPD among other ailments, her passing was a complete shock and happened very suddenly from a massive heart attack. My sister & I combined household's 8 yrs ago when my Mom was diagnosed. We teamed up to care for her with a promise that we would never put her in a skilled nursing facility, instead caring for her at home to give her the best quality of like possible. I'm so thankful to God for allowing us to keep that promise till the end. As hard as it could be at times, I thank my sister, her primary caregiver , for never giving up! As you can imagine we are trying to process things mentally and make those final decisions. We plan to have a celebration of life on Saturday, outdoor (with masks) in some fashion.  We’re asking for any donations to help cover cremation and funeral expenses.
