When Mary and Fred were planning their exciting trip to Europe, they took time out to get decent travel insurance out, so, to quote Mary “ if we popped our clogs people wouldn’t have to crowdfund to bring back our bodies..”

well thankfully the worst hasn’t happened, but we’re sure by now that most of you will have heard about Mary’s awful accident, on the beach.. proper breaking her hip. She was whisked off to hospital where she is currently waiting for some major surgery on her hip.

Meanwhile poor Fred is in their apartment, 5 miles from the hospital, worried about his beloved Mary and getting the bus on his daily treks across Trieste which is costing him time and a fortune from their precious adventure funds.. so many people have asked how they can help this week.. so here’s how.. let’s raise enough funds so Fred can get taxis to the hospital and buy peeled grapes for our precious Mary.. and Lidl bargains too..

It might be that once we know how long they will be there for and what their insurance will pay for, that we can find them a better nearer apartment, just to make things a little more comfortable.

Mary and Fred have done so much did this town.. now we have a chance to show them how much they mean to us
