Help our family stay together!

This is one of the worst and most terrible things I’ve ever had to write.

Marvin is my husband, the father of my children, and the soul of our family. He’s been in America for over 10 years this is the only home he knows. But now he’s gone. Taken. Detained by ICE. And our family has been torn apart. Marvin was brought to this country as a child, alone and scared, after being trafficked here. He had no parents, no guidance just pain and confusion. And still, he tried to make the best of his life. He’s endured more than most people could imagine losing his father and brother to violence and grief, trying to survive in a place that didn’t always welcome him.

But somehow, despite everything, Marvin found joy. He found love. He built a life. He built our life. And is still building his own even starting a company so he can pay taxes.

He is a man who works hard. A man who protects his family with everything he has. A man who loves deeply and gives without question, even when he has little to give. And now, through no fault of his own, he’s been taken from us.

He didn’t come home one night. Just like that, everything changed. And now we’re left trying to pick up the pieces while navigating a system that doesn’t see the person he is the father, the husband, the survivor, the human being.

Because of our marriage, we no longer qualify for public benefits. And the cost tobring our family together again is more than I can carry alone. It’s overwhelming. I’m trying to stay strong for my kids, but this pain, this fear, this emptiness…it’s too much some days. I’m asking for you to step in my shoes as a wife and mother . I’m asking for help from anyone who believes in love, in family, in second chances. He deserves to be home, holding his kids, sitting at the table with us again, just living the life he fought so hard to build. If you can help donations, through sharing this, through prayer I would be so deeply grateful. I believe with all my heart that God hears our cries, and that through the kindness of others, He works miracles.

Ha estado en Estados Unidos durante más de 10 años, este es el único hogar que conoce. Pero ahora se ha ido. Tomado. Detenido por ICE. Y nuestra familia ha sido destrozada. Marvin fue traído a este país cuando era niño, solo y asustado, después de ser traficado aquí. No tenía padres, ni orientación, solo dolor y confusión. Y aún así, trató de hacer lo mejor de su vida. Ha soportado más de lo que la mayoría de la gente podría imaginar perdiendo a su padre y hermano por la violencia y el dolor, tratando de sobrevivir en un lugar que no siempre le dio la bienvenida. Pero de alguna manera, a pesar de todo, Marvin encontró alegría. Encontró el amor. Él construyó una vida. Él construyó nuestra vida. Y ahora nos quedamos tratando de recoger los pedazos mientras navegamos por un sistema que no ve a la persona, él es el padre, el esposo, el sobreviviente, el ser humano. Debido a nuestro matrimonio, ya no calificamos para los beneficios públicos. Y el costo de reunir a nuestra familia de nuevo es más de lo que puedo llevar solo. Es abrumador. Estoy tratando de mantenerme fuerte por mis hijos, pero este dolor, este miedo, este vacío... es demasiado algunos días. Te pido que te ponas en mi lugar como esposa y madre. Estoy pidiendo ayuda a cualquiera que crea en el amor, en la familia, en las segundas oportunidades. Merece estar en casa, sosteniendo a sus hijos, sentado en la mesa con nosotros de nuevo, simplemente viviendo la vida que luchó tan duro para construir.
