Marvin the Riverwest Street Cat
Donation protected
As many of you know, a cat was spotted in Riverwest over the weekend in horrific condition. No one was able to get close to him, but several days later, he was found under a dumpster. An amazing group of people (Erica, Jill, Crystal, and Katie) banded together to rescue him and were able to get him into a carrier.
I arrived just after they had gotten him and took him straight to Mayfair Animal Hospital, where they worked on warming him up. His diagnoses included:
-FeLV+
-anemic
-severely dehydrated
-extremely emaciated
-upper respiratory infection
-dental disease
His organ values look pretty good, but his WBC is through the roof, most likely due to the upper respiratory infection + FeLV. The initial bill was $1,402, but if he pulls through he will need a dental and neuter. I can only hope that he gets better, but his quality of life is what matters the most. Thank you all for your support!
*Any donations not used for Marvin will go directly toward other animals in my care (both present & future)*
