To Help Honor Marvin McLennan-Funeral Expenses.

To our Beautiful Family and Friends:

We have had a lot of people reaching out and asking how they can help us so we decided to set up this fundraiser for our dad. Our Amazing father Marvin McLennan suddenly passed away on September 2, 2021. He fought for 8 months and was ready to go home to be with his brother, his parents, and especially Jesus.

For those of you who knew my father and did not know him, Wow... it would take way more than an essay to truly describe the kind of man he was. The biggest teddy bear you ever met with the biggest heart for family. He loved BIG and with his whole heart. He was 100% unconditional and always made you feel welcome no matter who you were.

Our dad was also a HUGE Astros fan since they started as the Houston Colt .45s. He had a love of the game like no other. I remember when he would get us yearly season passes and we would go as a family to watch them no matter win or lose.

He was selfless and ALWAYS put everyone before him even when he had little. He was the most creative passionate man I knew. Even when he had his down moments and struggled through life. You could go days, weeks, months, years without talking to him and he would always smile big when he saw you. He loved telling jokes and the one thing that he always wanted before he passed was for all of his family to come live in one big house so they could all be together. And that's why we are choosing to do a Celebration of Life for him.

Now, due to financial limitations and exhausting all of our resources together, we have made the difficult decision to proceed with cremation for him. We wanted to honor his burial in Ganado TX near his mom and dad; but due to seeing pictures of how "unkept" the cemetery looked and the state it is in; we decided to go with a much nicer one. We will be doing the burial at Magnolia Cemetery in Magnolia, TX. We feel very peaceful with this decision and it will give us the opportunity to visit with him much more. We know he would have desired this. Since we were not able to give him a proper funeral; we would like to honor him with his own plot site, a vault, the urn, a beautiful flat stone marker, and with the last of arrangements/celebration of life, amongst other details that we are still working out.

If you feel led to donate, literally anything is deeply appreciated.  If you would like to help out any other way, please feel free to reach. Thank you all for your outpouring of love, hugs, encouragement, calls, texts, etc. We have really needed it during this time. We love you all.

The McLennan Clan

We are looking at the 25th of September for the Celebration of Life for our father. It will will be on a Saturday. We feel this will give time for loved ones to make necessary arrangements and still give our family time to be together and grieve.
