We are raising money to help the Lau family offset the expenses of medical bills, funeral services, and memorial costs. Please consider contributing to this wonderful family who lost a loved one too soon.
Marvin will be most remembered for the kindness and friendship he shared with so many people. As co-founder of Native Sons BBQ Marvin was able to share his expertise and dedication to cooking and providing food to others all around the Bay Area. Before his passing, Marvin's health had gradually deteriorated rendering him unable to continue working or holding pop-ups.
During the Covid pandemic and shelter-in-place Marvin's cancer continued to metastasize. He continued to face his health struggles at home, but eventually required hospitalization. Once ready, Marvin made his final return home where he used as much energy as he had to share time with family and close loved ones. Despite all his challenges, he gathered his strength and still shared his passion for bringing people together with conversation, music, food, and so much more in his final days.
