Marvin Jones: Valuing and Supporting His Life

Donation protected
Marvin Jones, son of Ruthie Faye Jones and Joe Jones, brother to four, father to seven, grandfather to 10, and great grandfather to two. Marvin was born and raised in Fort Smith, Arkansas; a man of strong faith, fellowship, family, and a football fan. He would never be more of a fan than he was for the Dallas Cowboys, the Blue Angels, and the 188th Fighter Wing. His legacy and roots are highlighted by his former work at the Fort Smith Girls' Club, DJing, hosting large barbecues, volunteering for sound booth service at Maranatha Fellowship, supporting small businesses, and entrepreneurship started in his own home.

Marvin had multiple families he loved immensely and dearly, and today we, his children, are asking you to support those of us who remain in the event of this solemn, unexpected loss. Daddy was a well-accomplished, youthful senior who loved his parents and siblings. He was a devoted, hard-working husband and father. He worked a total of 34 jobs prior to starting his own company, working earnestly to supply various companies across the nation and operate drug-free, safe environments.

Marvin's wife, Irene Muthoni-Jones has recently been medically diagnosed with a debilitating illness. Marvin carefully balanced that added stress, immediately starting to reach out to friends and family and pooling his resources together to support her need for rest and medical care during this time. He also assumed complete and total responsibility for their young daughter Yvonne while Irene went away for the necessary medical care. As Irene works with her care providers to return home with assistance, and continues to work with us to process necessary information from afar; we are seeing more and more need for financial aid with immediate expenses. While we are making every effort to utilize resources available, we could still greatly use donations from friends, family, partners, and associates of Marvin Jones.

This fundraiser is not only being started to help with pending funeral service costs, but also to help Marvin's immediate families adjust to his highly unexpected loss, and transitioning into a period of life without him. As Irene is still needing medical care, the majority of the proceeds will go to her, Yvonne, and to cover processing and memorial services. The rest will be used to either transition and settle any of Marvin's accounts and to help other family members recover unexpected costs of this process, even though those have been kept to a minimum.

We, the children of Marvin Jones, thank you for condolences, communication, and celebration of precious memories of our dad! We thank you for visiting this page, whether to donate, or simply to stay in touch and honor his legacy with us. We understand that not everyone will be able to donate, but they may wish to share the link to this fundraiser or bring hugs, food, or otherwise contribute to the family, during this time of loss. Thank you for any and all support you have given our families both in the past and now. Thank you for remembering his soothing, evangelist voice on 106.3 Spirit FM. Thank you for calling the Hogs with him. Thank you for relaxing with him in "Margaritaville", and laughing or rolling your eyes at all of his dad jokes. It is up to all of us now--every life Marvin impacted with contagious positivity--to still value his life and continue his legacy.

With love,
The Jones Children
