Honoring Martyn hopes memory

Donation protected
I'm Rosie, Martyn's youngest daughter. For those who haven't heard, my dad passed away on April 6th in Big Timber, MT, after a years-long struggle with dementia in Atlanta and, for the past 2 years, here with me, my partner, Tony, my son, Grady, and his wife, Lesa in Montana.

The past few years have been tough for my dad. Loss of memory, confusion, and lots of strong feelings about what was happening to his mind. Two bright spots were time spent with his grandson and his fond memories of the people and pups of Ormewood Park. The playroom, dog park, and other goings on at Ormewood Presbyterian plus Halloweens, snow days, and other community gatherings filled his heart and were so missed after he moved.

His final wishes were to be laid to rest in this community filled with those he loved.

Because, when it rains, it pours, not only are we grieving for dad, but dealing with my mom's health issues and a significant identity theft and fraud incident that caused dad's pension to be returned and wiped out our family's savings.

In the wake of all of this we are also having to get our family house ready for remodeling or selling in Atlanta.

We are asking for your help to honor his wishes. Contributions will help with cremation costs, getting our house ready and travel expenses for my mom, my son, and I to join my sister, Nadia, in Ormewood Park for his memorial service. We would also like to have a bench made in his honor to place outside the Ormewood dog park, a place he loved to be.
