Help us celebrate Martyn Duffy's life.
Our dearest Martyn passed away in his sleep In the early hours of Sunday 21 June, at Hammersmith Hospital, London.
Martyn loved and was loved by so many. His creativity, kindness, humour and joy in living were always evident, and remained undimmed through his multiple illnesses.
He was a true and generous friend, who shared his passion for theatre, his love of music, and his delight in good food and fine wine with all those lucky enough to be part of his life.
Martyn's friends and family meant everything to him. And we would like to give you the opportunity to help us farewell him in true Duffy style.
Martyn's husband, Mark Trezona, will be the fund's recipient. Money raised will go first to help cover Martyn's funeral expenses, and then to the the charity that supports Imperial College London: Imperial Health Charity (https://www.imperialcharity.org.uk/).
The Imperial College team supported Martyn for many years, providing wonderful medical care and real human kindness. Hammersmith Hospital, where he spent his last days, is part of Imperial College and the team there continue to support Mark.
The celebration of Martyn's life will be held in London on 30 July at 10am BST (9pm NZT). Very few people are allowed at the venue because of COVID19 restrictions, but live-streaming details will be available from this page closer to the time.
