Marty VanLyssel fight pancreatic cancer
Donation protected
There is no easy way to say this so I’m just going to lay it all out there. Our father, Marty VanLyssel ("Van", "Vandall") was recently diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer. The tumor is 4.1cm x 4.9cm x 5.8cm large and is wrapped around the head of the pancreas. We are told it is inoperable and the doctors have given him 12-18 months permitting he does chemotherapy to try and slow it down and shrink it. The cancer has metastasized to his lymph nodes, is in his blood, and they found two spots on his lungs that are too small to test.
Our family refuses to believe this is a no-win scenario, so alongside his chemotherapy treatments, he will be undergoing Metabolic treatments to fight this the homeopathic way.
My father retired in February after working 25 years for the Iron Workers Union local 8, and has been working hard for the last two years on building the home he had planned to retire in with only the help from friends and family on the weekends && in their free time. He is near the finish line with progress being made every day and our goal is to have him out there by August 1st so he can take in all the fresh air, nature, and be comfortable in one place.
Please know that we appreciate each and everyone's thoughts, prayers, and support through this difficult time. Our family is resilient; We will get through this, but we need your help. There is no way to express our gratitude, so for now, all I can say is thank you.
