Marty Huckabay needs our help!

My name is Todd and I am Marty Huckabay's brother in law. On June 3rd, 2022 Marty was admitted to the ER in Prince George after experiencing tingling in his hands and feet. The numbness progressively got worse eventually affecting his entire body including his diaphragm. Within hours Marty went into respiratory failure and was admitted to the ICU. He was put on full life support for 5 weeks and experienced body paralysis from his neck down.
The doctors diagnosed him with a severe case of Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS), a rare disorder where the body's immune system damages nerves and how they function.
Marty remains in the hospital and is no longer able to do the things that make him happy, moreover he can no longer support his wife and children.
This is a long road to recovery, which requires an extensive stay in Vancouver’s physical rehabilitation hospital “GF Strong” who will work with him so he can walk again.
The family will experience costs incurred due to accommodations, travel expenses, loss of work, and home adjustments for wheelchair access etc. The recovery could take 1-2 years. Please help by donating if you can.
