In the middle of the night on November 6th, Mike and Marilyn Marty were awoken by fire- flames had engulfed their home. On the last sweep, as a neighbor was helping them get their pets out, the roof collapsed just behind them. The house is unfortunately a total loss.

 

 

 

Mike and Marilyn raised their 4 kids and loved on many grandkids in the 45 years they’ve lived in this house. Lifelong Duvall residents, this was/is where their hearts are. Mike served with the Duvall Fire Department for 35 years and was Assistant Chief. We heard him say a few times last night, “how many times have I seen this in other people’s homes, but never thought it would be mine!” Heartbreaking.
