UPDATE: Within 7 days we smashed our target of 10k...WOW! Martin is ever so grateful to each and every person that has kindly donated. The response has been incredible and due to this we have raised the target to 15k.
Velindres services go above and beyond of what the NHS funds for and these donations will go a long way in such a tough year.

Dad had his chemotherapy on November 23rd and apart from a couple of iffy days, he's felt quite well and is staying really positive.  Now he goes onto his next two sessions and we will then have an update on how he has responded to treatment.



On October 13th 2020, our Mum & Dads 41st wedding anniversary, our world came crashing down when Dad went into hospital and a tumour was found within the head. Further scans and tests showed that it has spread to the liver and bones. Dad has had no symptoms and only felt unwell 3 weeks beforehand.

We know that it is not curable and we hold onto the hope that he responds well to treatment, to allow him to live his life and be with us for as long as possible.

Dad is 61 years young and up until this point was a fit, healthy man and entering into retirement in Spain. Something the he's been wanting to do for quite some time.

Anyone that knows him well, will agree that he has worked so damned hard through life, to provide for himself and his family. The most selfless and beautiful man and this was his time to rest and enjoy the rest of his life with our wonderful Mum.

After one treatment of chemotherapy in Spain, Dad was desperate to return to the UK to be with his family and friends. He is now home where he belongs and today is his first treatment at Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff. Although this is his first treatment within Velindre, the support he's had so far from them has been a huge comfort to him and his family.

Velindre provides specialist services to over 1.5 million people and is one of the largest Cancer Centres in the UK. Their services and staff are quite simply amazing and we know that Dad will be in the best of hands.
Velindres fundraising activities have been hit hard throughout Covid 19and Dad's wish is to raise as much funds for them as possible.

Let's show Martin how much support he has and get behind Velindre, as we never know when their services maybe needed for ourselves or for our families.
