My name is Martin Rivas, I’m 32 years old, and I’ve been diagnosed with synovial sarcoma cancer in my right foot. The tumor has penetrated the bone, and I face the life-changing reality of a below-the-knee amputation, followed by intensive chemotherapy. On top of the physical battle, I was recently fired from my job because they couldn’t hold my position while I undergo treatment, leaving me struggling with financial hardship.
