3 halves in 3 weeks for 3 different causes
Donation protected
Hi all- some of you may be aware some of you may not be aware but over the past 6 months my family has gone through a bit of a difficult time. In September, my mum was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer which has since rapidly spread through her body to 6 different areas. This is inoperable and incurable. In October we lost my Grandad who was an absolute diamond of a man at 87 years old. In late October my Nana at 88 was diagnosed with terminal cancer of the liver and spine which is not treatable nor curable. In mid January my partner Jess underwent an emergency C section in which our 2nd born Oliver was delivered premature needing intensive care for just short of 2 weeks in Oldham hospital NICU. 3 days after Oliver was born my dad sadly passed away after a lengthy battle with illness. It takes a lot for me to be open about our situation as I am usually a bit of a closed book. This is the first time if wrote down what has gone on which has brought it to life.
To support the people who have fought tirelessly to support the people around me I have decided to put myself through some physical pain to show my loved ones that they are not going through it alone. Through April and early May I will be running three half marathons in three weeks. These will be…
19th April- Carsington water (Derby)
27th April- Blackpool
4th May- Birmingham
I’m now here with my begging bowl and want to try and raise as much funds as possible which will be equally distributed between three different causes.
Oldham Hospital- For their time critical response and care to Jess, also for the care and treatment they gave to my dad and grandad.
Oldham hospital Neonatal intensive care (NICU)- for the care, treatment and support they gave to my newborn, myself and Jess.
Christie Hospital- for there delicate approach ongoing support that they have given to my mum and Nana.
Even if you could just sacrifice your daily coffee routine for 1 day and donate the £4 it would be greatly appreciated and will go a long way.
