My mom Margaret Martinez, 53, has recently been diagnosed with Colon cancer and our family needs some support. Preparing for more medical bills as she’s been staying in and out of the hospital for nights on end needing to be watched by medical staff. Our home has become too difficult to maneuver around as she’s becoming less mobile while going through radiation as well as chemo together.

My moms help at home consists of My grandpa, my grandma, and I. This fund would also go to making the household more easily accessible, as well as making sure her room at our house is accommodating to her medical needs and upmost comfort while going through both chemo and radiation at the same time.

The other caregivers in the house besides myself are my grandparents, who also deal with their own medical conditions which limits the amount of help they can give. With my mom not being able to work from experiencing post treatment symptoms and overwhelming pain- This fund would also help to ensure that my mom can continue receiving at home care with a home nurse, as I work full time and cannot physically be there most of the time to help her.
