On July 1st, my twin sister’s car was stolen from her in a matter of minutes. She ran inside of a store to get a condolences gift for a friend, and when she went outside it was gone.

After two years of working extremely hard between three jobs, she finally retired our old family car with over 200,000 miles on it and bought her first car on May 3rd. She had been dreaming of this car for years, and saved every extra penny to make this dream come true.

Later to find out that a few days after her car was stolen, it was used in a now homicide investigation where the assailants of her stolen car shot a 14 year old child in the head over an alleged gun deal gone wrong. The car still has yet to be found, and if it is -will most likely be covered in blood and bullet holes and held as evidence in this investigation.

She received a call from Geico that they will not be covering any part of the theft of her car. She is now out over $30,000 from her stolen car on top of having to deal with replacing everything that was lost in the car, Ubers, rental cars, legal fees, and now the money to buy a new car as well as paying off the current car loan.

She currently lives alone in Saint Paul, MN without any close family around and is having to navigate this more or less on her own. Any contribution will help ease the mental and financial burden immensely.

Any funds not used will be allocated to the family affected by the shooting.
