
Funeral Assistance - Marty Davis

On the day of January 24th, 2017, at the West Haven VA Hospital, Martin Edward “Marty” Davis of Branford, formally of Guilford, passed away. Born, Nov. 10th, 1956 in New Haven, son of the late William E. Davis, Sr and Dorothy Lemley Davis.
Step-father to his beloved step-son Robert O. Davis, Uncle of William Earl Davis III of Guilford, Adam Davis of Westbrook, Joseph Wolfer of Clinton, Jonathan Wolfer of Clinton and Jennifer Wolfer of Clinton and many other cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, William E. Davis Jr., and two sisters, Susanne Wolfer and Sandra Knapp.
For many years after his service in the Air Force from ’75 to ‘79, Marty, was known as the “jack of all trades.” He worked for Guilford Rental for number of years, and eventually switching to carpentry which became his trade up until the very end.
Marty was always active in the community in his own way, for the sixty years he spent as a part of Guilford as well as part of our lives.
Friends and family are invited to the memorial services as a celebration to Marty’s life, which are to be held at the VFW in Guilford on, Saturday, February 11th, 2017 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm. And a funeral will be held in the spring – at the convenience of the family.
This campaign is to help assist the family pay for any and all funeral expenses.
