It is with heavy hearts that we share the sudden passing of our beloved dad and husband Martin, who left us unexpectedly on the 17th of June, at the young age of 60.
Martin was a humble, down to earth man who lived a simple life. He found joy in the little things in life like caring for his beloved quails, who brought him so much happiness in his final weeks.
Despite ongoing struggles with his heart and his legs, Martin never let his health define him. He kept going, quietly, gently, with a strength that inspired us all. His ability to find joy in life’s small, sincere moments is something we will always cherish.
His passing has left our family in deep shock. We weren’t prepared emotionally or financially to say goodbye so soon. As we now try to organise a burial in England, we are faced with the reality of the high costs involved. We’re reaching out to ask for help, if you’re in a position to offer it.
So many people have already asked, “What can I do?” And while flowers and cards are lovely, what Martin would have wanted more than anything is a warm, heartfelt send off surrounded by love. Any donation, no matter how small, will go directly towards helping us give him that final gift.
We know times are incredibly tough right now, and it’s hard for us to even ask. But if you are able to contribute or share this page, we would be deeply grateful.
Thank you for reading, for caring, and for helping us honour Martin in the most meaningful way we can.
With love and thanks,
Lorena, Dolly and Max
