Martin Parents Fundraiser

This Fundraiser is the get our 3 vehicles running again after all the work we did for the community.

We saw the need within the community and acted. Regardless of the lack of help from government entities, you all brought awareness and assistance that enabled us to work so hard and help so many people.

It was a year of great loss and great blessings. A year and a half later we are still processing and healing. We are on a new path and where that leads us as a family or individually will be revealed in it’s own time. For now we are resting and recovering.

When Covid started to subside earlier this year, we were shell shocked for a week or so. The calls for help stopped for 3 days, after months of nonstop daily calls. After that we had to assess our own situation, how do we move forward?

We know we made the choice to help and the choice to sacrifice so much but we didn’t know how we would be after the crisis.

That’s been the toughest part. The recovery. The holidays, birthdays, time as a family, and then the financial toll it took on our family.

We made this fundraiser to help get 3 out of the 4 vehicles running again. These were our personal vehicles and two were for our parents business. These vehicles carried us through so much. They deliver food, Covid supplies, water and reassurance to many families. They took us to funerals for loved ones. They helped us deliver Christmas packages on Christmas Day during the height of the second wave. Just thinkings about how you all supported us as we persevered through it all. I’m amazed the year is actually over, that we, in a way, are on the other side. During it all, I often wondered when we will be able to resume our own lives.

For my parents, they aren’t able to open their business due to both Yukons being down. I think all the support is amazing. I can’t tell you how much it means to us, you all carried us through. I’d really love to help my parents get back on their feet and thriving.
