Hi,

As some of you may be aware or not my dad (Martin) was diagnosed back in December with stage 4 lung cancer.

Within months we found out it had spread to his brain, liver, bones and other places.

With ongoing chemo and lots of appointments each week, we continued to do as many amazing things with him not knowing how long the future held for him.

We had soo many wonderful memories and made the most of the time he had left.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse very quickly in May and he had to go to hospital as the pain was too intense.

He spent 5 days in total in hospital and mum, me and my sister were by his side for the last 3 days, where he passed away early hours of the morning.

It is been the worst 3 weeks of my life after this and can only hope we are making him proud.

The funding I hope to get will be going towards getting some equipment for the ward that my dad was in for those last days. The nurses, doctors and all staff in the ward were amazing. Nothing was ever enough for them to do and we would like to be able to gift them with something that will make their lives easier whilst at work and also to help any other patients and family that will be going through something similar.
