Martha’s abdomen surgery

I’m posting on behalf of my wife and myself. My name is Michael and my wife is Alyxx.

** Martha is currently at the University of Guelph about to undergo a life saving surgery. Early Saturday morning Martha stopped eating, she then started vomiting everywhere, she puked up a piece of fabric a bit on Saturday and then Sunday morning she was looking better and she ate. Two hours later she was throwing up again, we rushed her to the emergency vets, we called so many and no one could take her in until finally in Mississauga they could, there she did basic X-rays and got fluids and stabilized her. Unfortunately they needed better imagining and couldn’t do it until the morning on Monday. University of Guelph was able to take her so my wife drove to Mississauga to pick her up then bring her to University of Guelph animal hospital. Our bills are adding up the first vet in Mississauga cost us $3500, now at Guelph they wouldn’t take her without 50% of the estimate which was $6000. She is having a surgery done on her abdomen, which is invasive and scary, she also has fluid in her stomach the vet says which can cost us an additional 2,000 - 4,000 on top of it, we also run the risk of a second surgery having to happen.

we do have insurance and limited savings, my wife’s own medical bills can be costly and in this economy I know how hard it is for everyone. I appreciate any prayers and thoughts for Martha.
