Martha's Breast Cancer Surgery
Donation protected
Martha is a West Highland Terrier that is estimated to be 5 years old. She was rescued from a high-kill shelter by Foster Pet Outreach, a rescue in Cental Illinois. The best guess is that Martha was dumped when her owners noticed a lump forming on her mammary region. Martha's new veterinarian has confirmed that Martha does have breast cancer, and will need surgery to have her tumor removed.
Martha is wonderful with kids, cats, and dogs. She weighs 13 lbs but has a personality of a "big dog." Her favorite pastime is walking in the yard and rolling in the grass. She also likes head massages and going for walks. Martha also knows how to dance for attention. Her nickname is "sassy pants" because she is a bit (a lot) sassy, and she makes her humans laugh daily. Martha is almost always smiling, which is amazing given the pain she must be in from the tumor.
Now that Martha's surgery has been paid for, we need to take care of the rest of her medical needs, including a spay, dental cleaning, vaccinations and surgery after-care. Thank you to all who have helped so far!
